Team Leader – Direct Banking

About the role

Capitec Bank is seeking an energetic Team Leader for its Direct Banking division. You will lead a virtual sales team, driving the promotion and sale of Capitec’s products and services while maintaining a client‑focused, high‑performance environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and motivate a team in the Capitec Direct Department to meet agreed sales targets via virtual channels.
• Ensure consistent delivery of high‑quality customer service and adherence to Capitec policies.
• Monitor performance metrics, provide coaching, and implement improvement initiatives.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of Capitec products, procedures, and relevant banking legislation.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience working at Capitec, preferably in a sales or customer‑facing role.
• Proven ability to lead people to achieve goals and targets.
• Previous supervisory or management experience in a sales environment is preferred.
• Familiarity with sales, credit, fraud or contact‑centre operations is an advantage.

Required skills

• Strong communication, problem‑solving and leadership abilities.
• Computer literacy: MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook.
• Attention to detail and basic telesales techniques.
