Tax Trainee Programme – 36‑Month Learnership

About the role

Allan Gray is seeking motivated individuals for a 36‑month Tax Learnership Programme. The programme is designed to develop future tax professionals through rotations across core tax teams and exposure to finance functions.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and review of corporate tax returns for companies, trusts and collective investment schemes.
• Conduct research and analysis on South African and international tax legislation.
• Support internal and external stakeholders on tax‑related queries.
• Participate in tax planning projects and implementation strategies.
• Contribute to tax monitoring reviews and risk assessments.
• Stay updated on tax developments and attend training sessions.

Required profile

• Currently completing or having completed a postgraduate degree or diploma in taxation.
• Academic average of at least 70 % for Matric and university studies.
• Core Mathematics grade of 70 % or higher and proficiency in English.
• Eligibility to work in South Africa.
