Tax Practitioner

About the role
The Tax Practitioner will deliver comprehensive tax compliance services for individuals, trusts, estates and companies. This position supports the Portfolio Management team by ensuring accurate tax filings and maintaining strong client relationships.
Key responsibilities
- Compute, complete and submit provisional tax returns and arrange provisional tax payments
- Compute, complete and submit annual tax returns for individuals, trusts, estates and deceased estates
- Arrange assessed tax payments and check income tax assessments
- Submit supporting documents, lodge objections and correspond with clients and SARS
- Resolve client and SARS queries within legislated timeframes
- Obtain tax clearances and manage cessation of tax residency matters
- Maintain up‑to‑date records for tax clients, including filing
- Recover fees for tax work undertaken and contribute to internal and client communications
- Consolidate and grow the tax book
Required profile
- Willingness to learn and strong client focus
- Collaborative mindset and resilience under pressure
- Fluency in English and Afrikaans with excellent written English
- Relevant postgraduate qualification and registration as a tax practitioner in good standing
- Five or more years of independent experience in a similar tax role
- Proven track‑record of delivering accurate tax compliance services
