Tax Compliance Associate

About the role

PwC is seeking a Tax Compliance Associate to join its tax services team. In this role you will support clients by ensuring their tax filings are accurate, timely, and compliant with South African tax regulations. You will work closely with senior tax professionals and a diverse client base, gaining exposure to a variety of industries.

Key responsibilities

• Process and manage tax data, including capture, validation, and e‑filing of returns.
• Prepare and submit supporting documentation to SARS via e‑filing platforms.
• Track refunds, respond to SARS queries, and handle tax registrations.
• Sort, code, and distribute incoming tax correspondence and maintain work‑in‑progress records.
• Issue invoices, manage billing cycles, and provide secretarial assistance to the tax division.
• Maintain and update client information in the Greatsoft tax system.

Required profile

• Minimum Matric qualification with Mathematics or Accounting.
• 1–2 years of tax administration experience (preferred).
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Fully bilingual in Afrikaans and English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Greatsoft tax system.
• Experience using e‑filing platforms for tax submissions.
