Tax Compliance Associate

About the role

The Tax Compliance Associate supports the tax division by processing data, managing submissions to SARS, and handling tax‑related correspondence. This role ensures timely filing, follow‑up on refunds, and accurate record‑keeping within the Greatsoft tax system.

Key responsibilities

• Process and capture tax data, including submission of supporting documents via e‑filing.
• Follow up on refunds and queries from SARS and other tax authorities.
• Handle, sort, code, and distribute incoming tax mail.
• Provide support to co‑workers in the tax division and liaise with SARS.
• Manage work‑in‑progress, issue invoices, and maintain tax administration records.
• Provide secretarial assistance and update the Greatsoft tax system.

Required profile

• Minimum Matric qualification with Mathematics or Accounting.
• 1–2 years of tax administration experience (beneficial).
• Accurate, organised, and able to work under pressure.
• Fully bilingual in Afrikaans and English.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Greatsoft tax system.
• Experience using e‑filing platforms for tax submissions.
