Tax Accountant

About the role
We are seeking a detail‑driven Tax Accountant to join a specialised, regulated healthcare business in Johannesburg. In this fast‑paced environment, your tax expertise will directly support financial stability, compliance and governance.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure accurate and on‑time VAT and PAYE submissions.
- Act as the registered tax practitioner for all tax‑related matters.
- Manage SARS queries, verifications and audits.
- Prepare tax returns and perform reconciliations.
- Maintain compliance and audit‑ready documentation.
Required profile
- BCom in Accounting, Tax or a related field (essential).
- Registered Tax Practitioner (essential).
- 5–7 years of relevant tax or compliance‑focused finance experience.
- Strong working knowledge of VAT, PAYE and South African tax regulations.
- Ability to operate effectively in a compliance‑driven environment.
- Experience in healthcare or other highly regulated industries is advantageous.
