Talent Acquisition Specialist – Financial Advisers

About the role

Liberty Standard Bank Group is seeking a dynamic Talent Acquisition Specialist to lead the recruitment of Financial Advisers for Liberty Advisory Partners. You will own the end‑to‑end hiring process, from sourcing to onboarding, ensuring a strong pipeline of both new‑to‑industry and experienced advisers.

Key responsibilities

• Drive full‑cycle recruitment for Financial Advisers, meeting monthly, quarterly and annual targets.
• Identify, attract and build long‑term talent pipelines using appropriate sourcing channels.
• Conduct initial and competency‑based interviews in partnership with Branch Managers and Franchise Principals.
• Manage candidate relationships to ensure a positive experience throughout the hiring journey.
• Present career opportunities at recruitment events and presentations.
• Perform background checks, verify regulatory history (DOFA, MIE) and handle adverse findings.
• Facilitate LawTrust registration, pre‑contract and induction programmes for successful candidates.
• Oversee the contracting process, reviewing documentation for accuracy and compliance.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to POPI Act and internal risk‑governance frameworks.
• Partner with Branch Managers, Franchise Principals and Regional Heads to align talent strategy with business goals.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of the financial services distribution environment and market trends.
• Experience in talent acquisition, preferably within financial services or banking.
• Ability to build sustainable pipelines and meet recruitment targets.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Commitment to compliance, confidentiality and risk mitigation.

Required skills

• Knowledge of financial services recruitment processes.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as DOFA, MIE and POPI Act.
• Proficiency in conducting background checks and managing candidate documentation.
