Talent Acquisition Lead

About the role

This position is for a Talent Acquisition Lead based in South Africa, reporting to a fast‑growing global organization. You will combine people leadership with hands‑on recruiting, guiding a pod of recruiters while directly delivering critical hiring initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coach a recruiter pod, ensuring focus, productivity and achievement of hiring targets.
• Balance people‑management duties with direct execution of complex and senior searches.
• Translate broader talent acquisition objectives into clear priorities and actionable goals.
• Conduct regular one‑on‑one meetings to discuss performance, pipeline health and career development.
• Review and improve sourcing, outreach, candidate engagement, interview processes and stakeholder communication.
• Identify and escalate performance challenges, partnering with senior leadership on solutions.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in talent acquisition, recruitment or executive search.
• Minimum 2 years of experience leading a recruiting team or pod.
• Proven ability to manage personal recruiting workload while developing other recruiters.
• Strong knowledge of the full hiring lifecycle, from sourcing strategy to candidate outreach.
