Talent Acquisition Consultant

About the role

Old Mutual is seeking a Talent Acquisition Consultant to lead end‑to‑end recruitment for Financial Advisor positions across multiple talent streams. The role focuses on delivering high‑volume, compliant hiring while building strong talent pipelines to support business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full recruitment lifecycle – from requisition intake through sourcing, screening, interviews, offers and onboarding.
• Source candidates via financial services networks, LinkedIn, job boards, referrals and competitor mapping.
• Develop targeted sourcing strategies for experienced and aspiring Financial Advisors.
• Conduct detailed screening, validating financial services experience, production metrics, regulatory fit and CPD readiness.
• Partner with distribution leadership, hiring managers and HR Business Partners to guide interview processes and selection criteria.
• Ensure compliance with FAIS and internal governance requirements, overseeing background checks and documentation.
• Track pipeline metrics, report on conversion rates, time‑to‑fill and offer acceptance, and provide insights for workforce planning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business or related field (preferred).
• 3–6 years of recruitment experience, preferably in financial services or sales recruitment.
• Proven experience in high‑volume hiring environments, especially for Financial Advisors, Insurance Advisors or Broker roles.
• Commercial mindset with strong judgment on candidate quality.
• Resilience and ability to thrive in target‑driven settings.

Required skills

• Knowledge of the FAIS regulatory environment.
• Familiarity with pipeline management tools such as Workday.
• Experience using Applicant Tracking System (ATS) platforms.
