Tac Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a driven junior finance professional with a passion for tax, accuracy and compliance to join our well‑established accounting practice in the East Rand. The role offers hands‑on exposure in a fast‑paced environment, supporting a diverse client base across multiple industries.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and submit VAT201, EMP201, EMP501 and IT14 returns.
• Assist with SARS e‑filing, queries, follow‑ups and compliance administration.
• Process tax calculations for individuals, companies and trusts.
• Support the preparation of annual financial statements and respond to audit queries.
• Perform reconciliations for VAT, PAYE and control accounts.
• Assist with monthly management accounts, inter‑company invoicing and basic costing.
• Maintain accurate filing of tax documents, statutory records and annual returns.
• Handle general administrative duties related to tax and compliance.

Required profile

• BCom Accounting or equivalent (advantageous).
• 1–2 years of tax or accounting experience, or articles exposure.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Required skills

• SARS e‑filing proficiency.
