Systems Engineer – Remote (Cape Town)

About the role

Key responsibilities

• Provide remote IT support through a shared inbound call queue, assisting users across multiple clients with a broad range of technical issues.
• Work across technologies and support needs, developing a well‑rounded skill set that supports continued growth within Atlas Technica.
• Use a ticketing system to manage support queries.
• Maintain documentation and comply with organizational rules and guidelines.
• Adhere to strict change‑control procedures.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of IT experience (Desktop Support, Systems Engineering, Systems Administration).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Required skills

• Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office.
• Microsoft 365 stack (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Intune, Azure AD).
• Windows Server platforms, Active Directory, Group Policy.
• Citrix XenApp (or similar).
• Sophos or comparable endpoint threat‑management solutions.
• Virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper‑V.
• Networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, LAN/DMZ/WAN, DHCP, DNS, routing, switching, firewalls.
