QA Engineer – Finance Invoicing Squad

About the role

As a Quality Assurance Engineer in the Finance Invoicing Squad at impact.com, you will protect the integrity of billing, invoicing and ledger systems. You will build and maintain automated test suites, perform manual and visual testing, and ensure financial data is accurate and reliable.

Key responsibilities

• Design, configure and scale a modular Playwright regression framework to validate end‑to‑end billing journeys, invoices and payment routing.
• Run daily test pipelines, debug failures using traces, videos and logs, and keep the test suite on schedule.
• Review QA pull requests, maintain documentation and ensure continuity of the automation codebase.
• Perform API contract testing, mock webhooks and verify asynchronous middleware behavior under error conditions.
• Execute advanced SQL queries to audit transaction logs, validate database integrity and detect data inconsistencies.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate defects and test results into clear business impact.

Required profile

• Professional experience creating and scaling Playwright automation scripts.
• Strong relational‑database skills with ability to write complex SQL queries for data validation.
• Proven ability to test and validate RESTful APIs and payload contracts.
• Analytical mindset with solid numerical reasoning for financial calculations.
• Comfort using AI‑assisted tools (e.g., Cursor, Copilot) to accelerate test authoring while verifying outputs manually.
