Systems & Communications Administrator

About the role

This position sits at the heart of a leading independent financial‑services firm, providing systems support, client communication and coordination of monthly scheme close‑offs. You will work closely with internal developers and a nationwide advisor network to ensure smooth operation of insurance and investment platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and resolve system‑related queries from clients, investigating issues and providing timely feedback.
• Coordinate with developers to troubleshoot technical matters and maintain user access rights.
• Respond to client enquiries via phone and email, delivering clear and professional communication.
• Oversee monthly premium close‑off processes across multiple schemes, ensuring data accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain system data, perform verification and cleansing, and support regulatory reporting.
• Assist with payment processing, allocations and reconciliations where required.
• Support general operational tasks, reporting and process‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of the long‑term insurance industry.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English and Afrikaans.
• Ability to work calmly under pressure, prioritize competing deadlines and take ownership.
• Comfortable operating in a regulated, compliance‑driven environment.
