Systems Accountant

About the role

We are looking for an energetic, self‑motivated Systems Accountant to own key accounting functions and provide an accurate financial picture across all our banking systems. You will ensure data integrity, drive operational excellence and act as the go‑to technical expert for your team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and quality‑check the technical work of team members, enforcing standards and handling escalations.
• Run daily, weekly and monthly reconciliations of settlements, bank accounts, general ledger and inter‑company accounts; investigate and resolve discrepancies.
• Analyse, investigate and resolve exceptions in financial data, maintaining documented procedures for audit purposes.
• Prepare and post journal entries in line with accounting principles and regulatory requirements, reviewing for accuracy and completeness.
• Execute the full settlement process for third‑party transactions, ensuring timely and accurate payments and receipts.
• Maintain system and balance‑sheet registers, meet month‑end deadlines, support financial audits and deliver ad‑hoc analytics.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Financial Accounting or Finance (post‑graduate qualification preferred).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in reconciliation and financial data analysis.
• Strong knowledge of computerized accounting systems and principles, particularly SAP.
• Ability to document processes, train team members and support audit activities.
