System & Network Engineer (Level II)

About the role

The System & Network Engineer (Level II) will manage and maintain IT infrastructure across multiple client environments, ensuring reliable operation and security for both on‑premises and cloud systems. The role requires strong hands‑on expertise in Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Azure, firewalls and virtualization technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and maintain client network infrastructures, including routers, switches, firewalls and wireless solutions from vendors such as Cisco, SonicWall, Palo Alto and Meraki.
• Manage Windows Server environments (2008‑2022) on‑premises and in Azure, applying virtualization with VMWare and Hyper‑V.
• Support and administer Microsoft 365, Active Directory and Azure services, handling user management, group policies and cloud resources.
• Implement and maintain VPN and remote‑access solutions like Cisco AnyConnect, Fortinet and SonicWall.
• Monitor, configure and manage security tools, including IDS/IPS, anti‑virus solutions and perform vulnerability scans and patch management.
• Provide Level 1 and Level 2 technical support, using remote management tools to resolve issues quickly.
• Develop disaster recovery and business continuity plans in collaboration with clients.
• Track, manage and resolve tickets via ConnectWise, Kaseya or ServiceNow, ensuring thorough documentation.
• Proactively monitor system performance and generate regular reports on uptime, security incidents and overall health.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience with Microsoft 365, Active Directory and Azure environments.
• Solid background in network administration and firewall technologies (Cisco, Palo Alto, SonicWall, Fortinet, Meraki).
• Proficiency with virtualization platforms such as VMWare and Hyper‑V.
• Experience using remote‑access tools, monitoring platforms and ticketing systems.
• Ability to perform security assessments, vulnerability scanning and patch management.
