System & Network Engineer (Level I)

About the role

The System & Network Engineer (Level I) will oversee, manage, and maintain IT infrastructure across multiple client environments. You will provide technical expertise in system and network administration to ensure seamless operation and security of both on‑premises and cloud‑based systems.

Key responsibilities

• Administer client network infrastructures, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless technologies from vendors such as Cisco, SonicWall, Palo Alto, Juniper, F5, HP, and Aruba.
• Manage server environments on‑premises and in the cloud using Windows Server (2008‑2022) and virtualization technologies (VMWare, Hyper‑V).
• Support and administer Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and Azure services, handling user management, group policies, and cloud resources.
• Implement and maintain firewalls and VPN solutions (Cisco AnyConnect, Meraki, SonicWall, Fortinet) to ensure secure remote access.
• Monitor security protocols, perform vulnerability scans, patch management, and assist clients with disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
• Provide Level 1 and Level 2 technical support, troubleshoot issues across desktop, network, and application layers, and use remote management tools.
• Utilize ticketing systems (ConnectWise, Kaseya, ServiceNow) to track and resolve incidents.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Azure, and firewall technologies.
• Proficiency in virtualization platforms, especially VMWare.
• Experience with remote access tools, monitoring platforms, and ticketing systems.
• Proactive problem‑solver able to thrive in a fast‑paced, multi‑client environment.
