System Analyst – Banking Solutions

About the role

Our client, a leading banking institution, is looking for an experienced System Analyst to join their IT team in Modderfontein. You will translate business needs into detailed functional and technical specifications and support solution delivery throughout the Software Development Life Cycle.

Key responsibilities

• Gather, analyse and document business and system requirements.
• Conduct stakeholder interviews, workshops and elicitation sessions, producing process maps, use cases, user stories and workflow diagrams.
• Evaluate existing systems, identify improvement opportunities and collaborate with architects and developers on solution design.
• Define system interfaces, integration requirements and data flows in line with enterprise architecture standards.
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive system and technical documentation.
• Support development and implementation activities, facilitating communication between business and technical teams.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning and backlog refinement.
• Develop test scenarios, support User Acceptance Testing and assist with defect resolution.
• Act as the primary liaison between business and IT stakeholders, providing project updates and managing expectations.
• Ensure governance, audit and regulatory compliance while creating user manuals and knowledge articles.
