Sustainable Human Settlement

About the role

This position supports Sustainable Human Settlement initiatives in deprived areas, driving economic growth and poverty reduction through innovative technology, project monitoring, and effective management of resources and contracts.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and evaluate project progress, conduct field verification and capture lessons learned.
• Develop and maintain a database of funded Sustainable Human Settlement projects.
• Identify project gaps, draft terms of reference and assess fundable proposals.
• Ensure timely submission of project reports and update the Project Information Management System (PIMS).
• Manage contract implementation, ensure compliance with PFMA and relevant legislation, and oversee contract renewals.
• Maintain issue and risk logs, and coordinate change requests with implementing entities.
• Facilitate stakeholder workshops, joint planning sessions, and continuous engagement with key partners.
• Oversee financial administration, including payment of service providers and monitoring fund transfers.
• Support enterprise development objectives within funded initiatives.
• Conduct research, produce knowledge products, and contribute to marketing and communication activities.

Required profile

• National Diploma or Bachelor’s degree.
• Experience in project monitoring, evaluation and reporting.
• Proven ability to manage contracts and ensure compliance with public finance regulations.
• Strong stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills.
• Experience in financial administration and fund monitoring.
• Ability to develop and maintain project databases and documentation.
