Supply Chain Manager – Johannesburg

About the role

The Supply Chain Manager will lead the end‑to‑end supply chain function for a fast‑growing organisation in Johannesburg. You will be responsible for procurement, warehousing, inventory control and the S&OP process, ensuring cost‑effective, reliable delivery that meets market demand.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute procurement strategies, set KPIs, and manage supplier performance.
• Oversee national and international warehousing and distribution networks, optimise space utilisation and stock turns.
• Maintain optimal inventory levels, implement JIT practices and minimise excess or shortage.
• Drive the S&OP process, including demand planning and supplier input.
• Monitor outbound logistics, improve workflow efficiency and ensure on‑time delivery.
• Control working capital by aligning inventory with procurement timing.

Required profile

• B.Com degree in Logistics Management, Supply Chain or a related field.
• 8‑10 years of logistics and supply chain experience in a large, multi‑site organisation.
• Proven track record managing international and national warehousing and distribution.
• Hands‑on experience with S&OP, demand planning and supplier collaboration.
• Clean credit and criminal record.
• Understanding of the valve industry is an advantage.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency.
• Strong experience with ERP systems such as Navision or Business Central.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).
