Supply Chain Manager

About the role

Endless Summer Technologies, the manufacturing division of Johnson Outdoors, is looking for an experienced Supply Chain Manager to join its team in La Mercy, Durban. The role leads end‑to‑end supply chain operations at the site level, integrating demand planning, procurement, production and distribution to ensure optimal performance.

Key responsibilities

• Translate demand forecasts into production and procurement plans and align schedules with demand.
• Manage inventory levels, safety stock and reorder points while reducing excess and obsolete stock.
• Monitor supplier performance, identify risks and support mitigation strategies such as dual sourcing.
• Oversee third‑party logistics providers to ensure timely, cost‑effective delivery.
• Analyse supply and demand variability, ensure compliance with customs regulations and trade programmes.
• Lead the S&OP process, collaborating with operations, finance, engineering and quality teams.
• Track and report on supply chain KPIs, driving efficiency and cost‑reduction initiatives.
• Support implementation and optimisation of ERP systems and supply chain planning tools.
• Promote sustainable practices, including waste reduction and responsible sourcing.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in supply chain management covering planning, procurement and logistics.
• Strong understanding of end‑to‑end supply chain processes and cross‑functional integration.
• Proven ability to analyse data and drive improvements in inventory, cost and service levels.
