Supplier Management Specialist

About the role
The Supplier Management Specialist will lead initiatives that embed best‑practice supplier management across the organisation. This role focuses on mitigating supplier risk, enhancing performance, and driving enterprise‑wide supplier development to support DBSA’s transformation and sustainability objectives.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement standardized supplier risk assessment frameworks.
- Monitor and improve supplier performance metrics and reporting.
- Lead supplier development programmes that align with strategic sourcing goals.
- Collaborate with procurement and business units to ensure consistent supplier governance.
- Provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership on supplier‑related opportunities and challenges.
Required profile
- Proven experience in supplier management, procurement, or supply chain functions.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and drive actionable improvements.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
- Ability to work independently and influence cross‑functional teams.
