Strategic Financial Manager

About the role

This position supports ambitious organisations by turning financial data into clear, actionable direction. Working remotely or in a hybrid setting, you will act as a trusted partner to founders and executive teams, shaping growth strategies and improving financial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as a strategic finance partner, translating financial information into insights that drive long‑term growth.
• Analyse financial performance and deliver insight‑driven recommendations to improve profitability and efficiency.
• Convert complex financial data into clear narratives for executive decision‑making and business planning.
• Lead client engagements, workshops and presentations with actionable strategic outputs.
• Collaborate with internal teams and mentor junior colleagues.
• Identify innovative financial and operational solutions across diverse industries.

Required profile

• Qualified finance professional (CA(SA) or CIMA) with strong commercial acumen.
• 3+ years post‑qualification experience in strategic finance, consulting or advisory roles.
• Proven ability to interpret financial data and link it to broader business strategy.
• Confident communicator experienced in engaging senior stakeholders.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, remote‑first, entrepreneurial environment.
