Strategic Account Manager

About the role

Elanco, a global leader in animal health, is seeking a Strategic Account Manager to join its Monogastrics sales team. The role focuses on growing the poultry and swine portfolio across South Africa by building long‑term relationships with key customers and aligning solutions with their business goals.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute integrated customer plans to achieve sales targets and increase market share for vaccines, antimicrobials and nutritionals.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers from farm level to boardroom, understanding their needs and delivering value.
• Lead strategic planning and coordinate internal functions such as Marketing and Technical to implement innovative solutions.
• Manage product forecasting, pricing, promotional activities and CRM reporting to optimise supply.
• Influence cross‑functional teams without direct authority to ensure high customer satisfaction and retention.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Veterinary Science or equivalent experience.
• Proven sales or account‑management track record in the animal health sector, preferably with poultry, swine or in‑feeds.
• Valid South African driver’s licence.
• High‑level computer literacy with strong data‑entry and analytical abilities.
