Store Manager – Retail Operations

About the role

The Store Manager will lead the BUCO Potchefstroom outlet, ensuring profitability, operational excellence, and exceptional customer service. You will be responsible for driving sales growth while managing staff, inventory, and store finances.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, budget and monitor store performance to achieve profitability targets.
• Oversee procurement, stock control, merchandising and maintain optimal inventory levels.
• Coordinate promotions, advertising and public relations to increase market share.
• Manage day‑to‑day operations, analyse operational data and address issues promptly.
• Lead, motivate and develop store employees to meet objectives.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and company policies.

Required profile

• Grade 12; a national diploma or degree is advantageous but not required.
• 5–10 years of retail experience.
• Minimum of 3 years in a junior‑mid level management role.
• Previous experience in the building‑materials or related retail sector is preferred.
