Store Leader

About the role

The Store Leader is responsible for delivering an outstanding customer experience while driving store profitability and operational excellence in a health‑and‑wellness retail environment. You will lead a team of brand ambassadors, ensure stock availability, and implement actions that improve sales, gross profit and expense control.

Key responsibilities

• Manage customer interactions, resolve complaints and ensure a high‑quality shopping experience.
• Optimize selling space, drive replenishment and maintain accurate stock levels.
• Achieve sales and gross‑profit targets while reducing waste and improving stock accuracy.
• Control controllable expenses in line with budgets and monitor income‑statement performance.
• Identify trends, challenges and opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Ensure store audit benchmarks and housekeeping standards are met.
• Implement effective stock control, cash‑handling procedures and risk‑management practices.
• Lead, develop and retain team members through coaching and performance‑development culture.

Required profile

• Grade 12 or equivalent; retail management diploma or degree is advantageous.
• Minimum 5 years retail experience, including 2‑3 years in a managerial role.
• At least 3 years experience in wellness‑focused retail.
• Genuine interest in health and wellness and ability to act as a brand ambassador.
• Own transport and willingness to work weekends and extended retail hours.
