Stock Inventory Controller – Hospitality

About the role

A well‑established hospitality operation in Benoni is seeking a detail‑oriented Stock Inventory Controller. The role focuses on maintaining accurate inventory, minimizing losses and supporting operational excellence across hotel departments.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and maintain accurate stock levels, including receiving, issuing, and reconciliation of inventory.
• Conduct regular stock counts and investigate variances, damages, and discrepancies.
• Oversee receiving and dispatch processes, ensuring quality, compliance and proper documentation.
• Capture and maintain inventory data using systems such as ERP, Micros, SAP or Pastel.
• Monitor usage trends to identify wastage, shrinkage and cost‑saving opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with stock control procedures, audit requirements and health & safety standards.
• Liaise with suppliers and internal departments to coordinate stock flow and delivery schedules.

Required profile

• Minimum Grade 12 qualification.
• 2–3 years’ experience in stock control or inventory management.
• Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy and organisational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet reporting deadlines.
