Staff Nurse - Phlebotomy, Vereeniging

About the role

PathCare, a partnership of pathologists in private practice across South Africa, is looking for a Staff Nurse to join its Fitzsimons branch in Vereeniging. The role suits someone with a proven track record of competence in phlebotomy, strong ethics and integrity, and a client-focused approach.

Required profile

• Enrolled Nurse Certificate qualification and registration with SANC
• Phlebotomy experience is essential; pathology experience is highly advantageous, including order of draw and running point-of-care instruments such as Hemocue and Stratus, and running arterial blood gas machines
• Valid Code B driver's license (manual transmission)
• Fluent English with an understanding of Afrikaans
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends and public holidays
• Acceptable performance record on technical and behavioural competencies

Required skills

• Computer literacy; Meditech knowledge is advantageous
• Problem-solving, effective communication, teamwork and stress resistance
