SQL Server DBA (SQL Server & PostgreSQL)

About the role

Our client is looking for an experienced SQL Server Database Administrator with PostgreSQL knowledge to join a large enterprise technology team. You will own the reliability, availability and scalability of critical database platforms while collaborating with infrastructure, cloud and engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions such as clustering, Availability Groups and replication.
• Develop and manage enterprise database replication and data‑movement architectures.
• Monitor performance, conduct advanced tuning using execution plans, wait statistics and profiling tools.
• Investigate incidents, perform root‑cause analysis and deliver long‑term fixes.
• Drive automation through scripting and self‑service tools to improve operational efficiency.
• Implement security, compliance and governance controls including encryption, auditing and access management.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks and database standards.
• Mentor junior DBAs and participate in after‑hours incident response.

Required profile

• 6+ years of database administration experience in enterprise environments.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and produce clear technical documentation.
• Collaborative mindset with a passion for mentoring and continuous improvement.
