Specialist Developer – M‑Sure

About the role

Our client, a global automotive leader, is seeking a Specialist Developer for the M‑Sure team within their IT/Software Development Division in Johannesburg. The role involves designing, building and maintaining scalable web applications while guiding junior developers and driving technical projects.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement and maintain software applications using Visual Basic .NET and C# .NET.
• Write, optimise and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers and reporting solutions on Microsoft SQL Server.
• Develop and integrate REST APIs and web services.
• Collaborate with internal development teams and third‑party providers to deliver solutions on time.
• Maintain and enhance existing codebases, adding new features and system improvements.
• Ensure applications are scalable, efficient, secure and aligned with business requirements.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Development or a related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in .NET Core/.NET Framework development using C#.
• 5–8 years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including stored procedures, triggers and indexing.
• Proven experience in web services and REST API development and integration.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, system integration and agile development methodologies.
