Specialist Developer – Enterprise Software (Permanent)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Specialist Developer to join a client’s technology team in Cape Town. The role focuses on delivering robust enterprise software solutions, enhancing existing systems, and collaborating with both technical and business stakeholders to ensure high‑quality application delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and enhance enterprise software applications using C#.NET.NET Core.NET Framework, and Visual Basic.NET.
• Design efficient SQL databases, optimise queries, stored procedures and indexing.
• Develop and maintain REST APIs and integrate web services.
• Analyse business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Resolve application issues and improve overall system performance.
• Produce technical documentation and participate in code reviews.
• Support deployments and ongoing application maintenance.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external software vendors.

Required profile

• Relevant degree or diploma.
• 5–8 years of software development experience with Microsoft technologies.
• Strong SQL Server development background.
• Proven experience in REST API development and integration.
• Excellent understanding of database optimisation and application architecture.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Analytical, results‑driven, and comfortable in a fast‑paced environment.
