Specialised Professional Nurse

About the role

Mediclinic Thabazimbi is seeking a specialised professional nurse to deliver safe, comprehensive and high‑quality nursing care in accordance with the Scope of Practice. The role is based on‑site in Thabazimbi, South Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver quality nursing care in collaboration with a multi‑professional team.
• Identify, prevent and manage risks to ensure patient safety.
• Facilitate a positive patient experience by creating a conducive environment.
• Provide accurate and comprehensive records of all nursing interventions.
• Create a learning environment that builds staff competence.
• Ensure that all utilised stock and equipment are accurately charged.

Required profile

• Essential education: Degree or Diploma in General Nursing.
• Desired education: Midwifery or a postgraduate certificate/diploma in a relevant specialty.
• Essential minimum experience: None.
• Desired experience: One year of post‑graduate qualification experience before placement in a specialised unit.

• Computer literacy (Microsoft Office).
