Solar PV Designer

About the role

We are seeking a Solar PV Designer to support commercial and industrial photovoltaic projects. The position requires a solid electrical engineering background and the ability to travel to mining sites and solar installations across South Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the design and implementation of solar PV systems for C&I clients.
• Travel to project locations, including mining sites, as required to support design activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the commercial & industrial PV industry.
• Knowledge of energy management systems, renewable energy technologies, and energy storage systems.
• Familiarity with energy regulations and standards.
• Experience with solar‑related or electrical installations.
• Willingness to travel to project sites.
