Solar Performance Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Solar Performance Engineer to lead our technical division at Amandla Energy. This hands‑on leadership position is responsible for defining performance standards and driving data‑centric improvements across both existing and new solar plants.

Key responsibilities

• Own and continuously improve performance standards for all solar assets.
• Analyse operational data to identify optimisation opportunities.
• Translate insights into practical on‑site actions and corrective measures.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations and development teams to ensure seamless plant commissioning and performance.
• Innovate new methodologies to enhance plant efficiency and support business growth.

Required profile

• Proven experience in solar plant performance monitoring and optimisation.
• Strong analytical mindset with a data‑driven approach.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and manage projects.
• Proactive problem‑solver with a focus on continuous improvement.
