Software Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a passionate Software Engineer to join our remote team in South Africa. You will help build and scale a global marketplace platform that connects millions of users to buy and sell cars, homes, jobs and second‑hand goods.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain web and mobile applications using C# and the Microsoft web stack.
• Collaborate with product and design teams to deliver high‑performance, user‑focused features.
• Implement caching, load balancing and profiling solutions to ensure scalability.
• Write clean, testable code and participate in code reviews.
• Maintain and optimise relational databases, primarily Microsoft SQL Server.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience with C#.
• University degree or diploma in Computer Science or a related field.
• South African citizenship.
• Strong attention to detail and a willingness to give and receive constructive critique.
• Continuous learner who shares knowledge with teammates.
