Software Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a passionate Software Engineer to join our remote team in South Africa. You will help build and scale a worldwide marketplace platform that connects millions of users to buy and sell cars, homes, jobs, and second‑hand goods.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain web applications using C#, MVC, Razor and the Microsoft stack.
• Build and support mobile applications for iOS and Android using Mono, Java or related technologies.
• Implement high‑performance and scalable solutions, including caching, load balancing, profiling and indexing.
• Work with relational databases, primarily Microsoft SQL, to ensure data integrity and performance.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define requirements, review code and deliver reliable features.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience with C#.
• University degree or diploma in Computer Science or a related field.
• South African citizenship.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to give and receive constructive critique.
• Continuous learner who shares knowledge with teammates.
