Software Engineer – Backend & Voice Infrastructure

About the role

Domu.ai is building AI‑driven voice agents for Fortune 500 banks and insurers. As a Software Engineer you will develop core backend features, APIs and voice infrastructure that power real‑time interactions at scale.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and own backend systems, APIs and voice infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain telephony systems, real‑time voice processing, and integrations with legacy financial platforms.
• Own a critical area such as orchestration, scaling, security or user‑facing product engineering.
• Ship code daily to production for Fortune 500 clients.

Required profile

• 3+ years of software engineering experience.
• Background at a Series A (or similar) startup facing hyper‑growth challenges.
• Experience refactoring legacy systems into scalable architectures.
• Strong backend fundamentals and ability to deliver features end‑to‑end.
• Proficiency in TypeScript and/or Python.
