Software Engineer - Android

About the role

Superbalist.com is seeking a strong‑intermediate Android Software Engineer to join its fast‑growing mobile team. You will work on the native Android app, collaborating across creative, content and engineering groups to deliver a world‑class shopping experience.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the development of the Kotlin‑based Android application.
• Design, develop and test code written in Kotlin and Java.
• Draft technical specifications, perform code reviews and ensure code quality.
• Monitor and profile application performance and optimise where needed.
• Monitor services and systems within the infrastructure.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design and implement new features.
• Publish releases to the Google Play Store.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years of software development experience, including 4+ years with Kotlin.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience building, testing and maintaining Android mobile applications.
• Familiarity with e‑commerce applications is a plus.
• Solid understanding of algorithms, data structures, design patterns (MVC/MVVM) and OOP.
