Software Development Engineer – AWS Kumo Last-Mile

About the role

Amazon Web Services is looking for a Software Development Engineer to join the Kumo Last‑Mile team. You will help build and scale the support platform that powers IT assistance for Amazon employees, leveraging modern cloud technologies and machine‑learning driven automation.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain end‑to‑end services in a Service‑Oriented Architecture that integrates with the broader Amazon ecosystem.
• Implement features using open‑source and native AWS technologies, ensuring high availability and scalability.
• Collaborate with product, UX, and data science teams to deliver self‑service support content and chatbot‑based issue resolution.
• Contribute to the full stack, from backend services to front‑end interfaces built with modern web frameworks.
• Apply machine‑learning models to predict user intent and personalize support experiences.

Required profile

• Strong software engineering background with experience building large‑scale, cloud‑native applications.
• Ability to work across multiple layers of a distributed system and integrate with various AWS services.
• Comfortable collaborating in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional environment.
