About the role
We are looking for a Software Developer to translate detailed designs into high‑quality code, configure applications and mentor fellow developers. The role is based in Gauteng on a contract basis, supporting Nedbank’s digital initiatives.
Key responsibilities
- Produce working software that meets design specifications and is robust, fault‑tolerant and scalable.
- Develop critical and complex technical components, ensuring they are maintainable, reusable and observable.
- Estimate work effort, troubleshoot issues and provide guidance to team members.
- Create deployment artefacts, manage source‑control libraries and oversee deployment packages.
- Write documentation, unit and system test cases, and conduct testing.
- Collaborate with designers, product owners and engineering leads to refine solutions.
Required profile
- Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent.
- Diploma or certificate in multiple programming languages.
- At least 3 years of programming experience.
Required skills
- Data structures.
- Agile development practices.
- System Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Programming in multiple languages.
- Unit testing and system testing.
- Source‑control management.
