About the role
The Social Media Officer will develop and maintain a robust social media communications framework for the mayoral campaign in Rand West City, Gauteng. This role supports the Democratic Alliance (DA) by delivering high‑quality written and visual content that reflects campaign policies, political context, events, and community issues.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement an effective social media strategy for the mayoral campaign.
- Create and curate written and visual content aligned with DA communication standards.
- Monitor social media channels, track performance metrics, and produce regular reports.
- Ensure consistency and excellence in all campaign communications across platforms.
Required profile
- Strong understanding of political communication and community engagement.
- Excellent writing and visual storytelling abilities.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple content streams.
Required skills
- Experience creating and managing content on major social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram).
