Social Content Creator

About the role

The Social Content Creator will produce short‑form video and photo assets for TikTok, Instagram Reels and other social platforms, supporting multiple client campaigns. Working hybrid from Johannesburg, you will collaborate closely with the marketing team to translate campaign concepts into engaging on‑brand content.

Key responsibilities

• Shoot and edit short‑form video content for TikTok, Instagram Reels and similar platforms.
• Photograph products, spaces and behind‑the‑scenes moments for client social feeds.
• Partner with the marketing team to bring campaign concepts and content calendars to life.
• Turn raw footage into polished, on‑brand edits with cuts, captions, sound and pacing.
• Travel to client sites or locations for on‑location shoots as required.
• Stay up‑to‑date with trending formats, sounds and editing styles across TikTok and Instagram.
• Organise and manage a content shoot schedule across multiple clients.
• Maintain consistent visual quality and brand tone across all client accounts.

Required profile

• 2+ years experience in content photography and videography, preferably for social media.
• Strong portfolio of short‑form content such as TikTok, Reels or Stories.
• Proficiency with camera and gimbal setups and mobile‑first shooting techniques.
• Skilled in video editing software (CapCut, Premiere Pro or similar).
• Basic photo editing skills (Lightroom, Photoshop or similar).
• Understanding of platform‑specific content styles (TikTok vs Instagram vs LinkedIn).
• Own equipment (camera, lenses, stabiliser) is advantageous.
• Own transport for on‑location shoots is beneficial.
