SOC Analyst (Level 1) – Cybersecurity Talent Pool

About the role

We are looking for motivated SOC Analyst (Level 1) candidates to join our Cybersecurity Talent Pool. You will support organisations across multiple industries by monitoring security events, investigating alerts and assisting incident response.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM platforms.
• Identify, investigate and escalate potential security incidents.
• Analyse system, network and application logs.
• Assist with incident response and remediation activities.
• Conduct initial threat investigations and root‑cause analysis.
• Maintain and update incident documentation.
• Support vulnerability management initiatives.
• Stay informed on emerging cyber threats and attack techniques.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in IT, Cybersecurity, Computer Science or related field.
• Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts and security frameworks.
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals and operating systems.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Windows and Linux environments.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Security+, SC‑900, Network+) are a plus.

Required skills

• Experience with SIEM tools such as Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk or QRadar.
• Windows operating system proficiency.
• Linux operating system proficiency.
• Networking fundamentals and log analysis.
