Site Technician (Wind Farm)

About the role

We are looking for a Site Technician to support the installation, commissioning and maintenance of wind‑farm equipment at our site near Middleburg, Eastern Cape. The role involves hands‑on technical work, problem solving and coordination between on‑site and port operations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance for installation and commissioning of wind‑farm units.
• Diagnose and resolve on‑site and port machinery installation issues.
• Collect and analyse statistical data on mechanical installations.
• Conduct quality inspections of mechanical construction projects.
• Prepare weekly, monthly and quarterly reports on installation problems and performance.
• Manage warehouse tools, personal protective equipment, spare parts and consumables, including inventory reporting.
• Analyse damage and replacement needs for machinery and spare parts.
• Follow company safety and security procedures in line with the Safety Production Management Network.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical or related engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in installation, commissioning or mechanical/electrical maintenance.
• Highly organized and efficient with strong communication abilities.
• Proficient with standard computer applications.
