Site Production Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Site Production Manager to lead commercial farming operations at a leading agricultural company in Stellenbosch. The role focuses on managing hydroponic production, ensuring high‑quality yields, and maintaining compliance with food safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day hydroponic production and irrigation/fertigation systems.
• Plan and coordinate planting cycles, harvest schedules, and production targets.
• Monitor plant health, pest and disease control, and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain GlobalG.A.P. and food safety compliance across the site.
• Prepare production reports, manage equipment, and control input inventories.
• Lead and develop the on‑site production team, ensuring safety and performance.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of experience in a commercial farming role.
• Degree or diploma in Agriculture, Horticulture, Plant Production, Agronomy or a related field.
• Fluent in English and Afrikaans.
• Valid driver’s licence and own transport.
• References and recent payslips available on request.
