Site Manager - Mining Contracts

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead our mining contracts, overseeing mobile crushing and fixed‑plant operations. The role combines responsibility for production, safety, compliance and client relations across multiple sites.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure full compliance with Mine Health and Safety Act (MHSA) and conduct regular audits.
• Lead SHEQ initiatives, perform daily safety inspections and drive continuous improvement in safety culture.
• Manage all aspects of crushing site operations including production, maintenance, finance, sales and supplier coordination.
• Plan and supervise preventive maintenance programmes to minimise downtime.
• Develop weekly and monthly production schedules, monitor runtime and exceed targets.
• Prepare contract programmes, cost forecasts and authorise site expenditures to meet profitability goals.
• Build strong client relationships and maintain employee relations in line with HR/IR policies.

Required profile

• 10+ years experience in mobile crushing, fixed‑plant operations, quarrying or aggregates.
• South African citizenship.
• Degree or diploma in Mechanical or Mining Engineering (preferred).
• Legal liability training and strong knowledge of MHSA compliance.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Willingness to travel and work away from home, including international assignments.
