Site Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Site Manager to lead construction activities on engineering infrastructure projects in Gauteng. The successful candidate will act as the on‑site representative of the Project Manager, ensuring safe, efficient, and high‑quality delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Represent the Project Manager on site and oversee all construction activities.
• Coordinate site access, line outages, and line‑crossing arrangements.
• Monitor project progress, provide regular status updates, and maintain site diaries, quality records, photographs, and documentation.
• Ensure quality control, manage inspections, and support commissioning activities.
• Handle site administration, documentation, correspondence, and drawing registers.
• Verify materials received against specifications and manage compliance with risk, health, and safety plans.
• Lead multidisciplinary site teams, resolve operational issues, and implement cost, quality, and programme controls.

Required profile

• National Technical Diploma, National Diploma, BTech, BEng or BSc in Electrical, Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
• Relevant engineering experience aligned with qualification level.
• Proven site management experience on engineering or construction projects.
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multidisciplinary teams.
