About the role
Döhler Nigeria is seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead the construction of a new food‑grade manufacturing facility in the Lagos Free Zone. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be the principal authority on‑site, ensuring safe, on‑time and on‑budget delivery while meeting strict quality standards.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate all on‑site construction activities across civil works, MEPF systems and equipment installation.
- Drive progress in line with the approved construction programme and monitor daily performance.
- Ensure full compliance with Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) requirements and promote a zero‑LTI culture.
- Oversee quality assurance, inspections and food‑grade construction standards.
- Manage project reporting, change control, documentation and site progress tracking.
- Coordinate procurement, logistics and material management on site.
- Supervise contractors and subcontractors, ensuring safe and efficient delivery of work packages.
- Liaise with Lagos Free Zone authorities, regulatory bodies and key project stakeholders.
Required profile
- Trade Test Certificate, National Diploma, B.Tech or B.Sc. in a relevant discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Food & Beverage manufacturing plant construction.
- Strong leadership and contractor management abilities.
- Excellent planning, communication and problem‑solving skills.
