Electrical Support Technician

About the role

Join a forward‑thinking engineering team that delivers renewable energy, power backup and IoT solutions across South Africa. As an Electrical Support Technician you will provide on‑site technical assistance, troubleshoot faults and support commissioning activities for cutting‑edge energy systems.

Key responsibilities

• Perform electrical fault finding and troubleshooting on renewable energy and smart technology installations.
• Assist with commissioning, testing and hand‑over of electrical systems.
• Prepare and update system documentation, including single‑line diagrams.
• Provide on‑site support to clients and contractors, ensuring clear stakeholder communication.
• Travel to project sites within South Africa and Southern Africa as required.

Required profile

• N3–N6 qualification in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years experience in energy, electrical or renewable‑energy environments.
• Strong knowledge of local electrical regulations and safety standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Required skills

• Electrical fault‑finding and troubleshooting.
• Commissioning support for electrical systems.
• Use of electrical design or single‑line diagram software.
• Basic IT, networking and electronics understanding.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
