Silo Manager – Lead Daily Grain Operations

About the role

We are seeking a results‑driven Silo Manager to oversee daily grain handling and storage operations at our facility in Hopetown, South Africa. The role combines operational leadership, quality control, and financial oversight to ensure efficient and safe grain management.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise all silo activities, including grain receipt, storage, and dispatch.
• Maintain high standards of quality, safety, and compliance with industry regulations.
• Monitor and optimise operational processes to maximise throughput and minimise losses.
• Prepare and manage budgets, track costs, and implement financial controls.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of silo operators and support staff.
• Ensure accurate record‑keeping and reporting using the company’s management systems.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing grain or silo operations.
• Strong leadership and team‑development capabilities.
• Solid understanding of grain handling, storage techniques, and safety standards.
• Financial acumen with experience handling budgets and cost controls.
• Excellent administrative and systems management skills.
