Showroom Manager – Retail Sales & Team Leadership

About the role

Hertex Fabrics is seeking an experienced Showroom Manager to lead its flagship showroom in Gardens, Cape Town. You will be responsible for driving sales, delivering exceptional customer service, and ensuring smooth daily operations in a fast‑paced retail environment.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve and exceed showroom sales targets while maintaining high customer satisfaction.
• Oversee day‑to‑day showroom operations, including visual merchandising and inventory control.
• Recruit, train, motivate and manage a team of sales and support staff.
• Maintain the showroom’s brand image and ensure a welcoming environment for customers.
• Handle administrative duties such as scheduling, reporting and performance tracking.

Required profile

• National Senior Certificate or Diploma in Sales, Marketing or a related field (advantageous).
• Minimum 5 years of sales experience in a retail setting.
• At least 4 years of people‑management experience.
• Strong interest in home décor and interior design.
• Highly motivated, loyal, and able to work under pressure.

• Excellent administrative and organisational skills.
• Ability to analyse sales data and drive performance.
